Rudy Mitchell identified this pōhaku as Kalakū, a fish god and fish lookout point on the north side of Waimea Bay. It sits on an obscure ledge overlooking the bay. The corresponding pōhaku sits on the opposite side of the Bay, Kalakoi. The stones are also called Kū and Ahuena.
