This shrine, visited in 2001 with cultural anthropologist Marion Kelly, was destroyed by the US Army in order to construct a large FBI building. Army archaeologists maintain that this is not a Hawaiian cultural site and that it was built on land that had been previously bulldozed during WWII for the construction of quonset huts.
