Puʻu Makani Heiau

Only ʻili ʻili (small stone paving) remains at Puʻu Makani. Since the heiau sites on a steep slope directly above the road, one might suspect that its larger stones were rolled downhill to create the bed of the highway, as happened at other heiau elsewhere on Oʻahu.
